Loading residues and sweepings are also waste and should be declared in port along with other
waste.
06) Keep the cabins warm.
Poor insulation leads to higher fuel consumption. Make sure cabins and machine rooms are well
insulated.

Obey the discharge rules. Always check first that the ship’s position and speed are within the
rules.
